Second opinion on a software quote
You have a quote or proposal from an agency or freelancer and want to know whether the scope, estimate, and technical approach hold up before you sign.
€690 for quotes up to about €50,000. Larger quotes by agreement.
What I check
- Whether the scope covers what you need, and what is missing or vague
- Whether the estimate fits the scope, and where it is likely to grow
- The proposed technology, hosting, and running costs
- Who owns the code, data, and accounts when the project ends
- How maintenance and changes after launch are handled and billed
What you get
- A written review with the risks ranked by cost
- Questions to put to the vendor before you sign
- A call to go through the review together
What I need from you
- The quote or proposal, and any specification it is based on
- A few sentences on what the software must do for your business
Independence
The review does not assume I will build the project. If the proposal is sound, the review says so.
Prices exclude VAT and are starting points. Scope, technical and regulatory complexity, deadlines, the state of existing systems, and other factors can change the final price, which is always confirmed in writing before work starts.
